Throwback Monday Evening??? I guess?? This is almost a year old now but it’s one of my favourite badges I’ve ever down for myself. Utena means a lot to me and a lot of the symbolism and imagery is very personally significant. If you’ve seen the show the whole way through, everything should pretty much make sense. It was also meant to mirror a badge that my friend Tent made herself of her character dressed as Anthy. Also I really enjoy drawing Andry in cosplay, even though I’ve never actually cosplayed myself, haha.On Weasyl: (x)

Hey friends!I recently hit a follower milestone and wanted to say thank you to everyone that has followed me here so far! I’d like to be a little more active/personal on this blog in general, and post juuust a bit more than art on here. Photos, little life updates, processes, helpful art reblogs, etc! It’ll still be like, 80% original content regardless. If you don’t want to see anything but my art/commission openings, you can blacklist #notjemart on Tumblr savior!Aside from that - hello new followers! I wanted to post a small introduction with some basic info, but I’m not really sure what you guys want to know, so…if there’s anything you’re interested in, art-related or no, my ask box is open! The super, super short of it is this: My name is Jem, I’m a 23-year-old lesbian, I live in Florida, and I like to draw. Thanks again for following! <3Jem

Some shaded sketches I did recently! I sometimes offer discounted slots for quick, same-day commissions over my Twitter, and this was one of those batches.

Just a pony OC I made some years ago, when Friendship is Magic first came out. I like the idea of an adult blank flank whose special talent is helping other ponies find their special talents. Her name is Scoutmaster, or just Scout.I imagine somewhere in the pony world there has to be some kind of organization dedicated to the growth of young girls, like Girlscouts? Maybe, years after the Cutie Mark Crusaders have grown, they start such an organization together. And within that, there would be an annual Cutie Camp! Scoutmaster is a Cutie Camp Counselor. She was originally going to be an Earth pony, but uh making friendship bracelets with two hooves and some horse teeth seems kind of hard.I wish I drew her more but I honestly don’t have much idle time for fanart, but she IS fun to doodle!

Just as a thank-you-for-putting-up-with-my-constant-commission-advertisement-reblogging, here’s a Tumblr exclusive sketchdump! All of these are of my character Andry, spanning the past several months. Please don’t claim any of these for your own use! <3 Jem

Hey friends!

My commission queue is clear of all digital commissions! I have a lot more time for digital work than I do traditional (since I can do digital anywhere but need a lot of supplies and space for traditional stuff) and that leaves me with a lot of time/opportunities to work on things! I have a big personal project in the works (shhh, it’s a secret!) but right now it’s a lot of writing and drawing the same character over and over again. Which can be boring! So I thought it might be fun to do some more Polyvore commissions, which will also help me with making money to pay back some kind friends that helped me out back in April, when I had a family emergency. So yeah!

✧♕ Polyvore Commissions ♕✧
✧ Polyvore commissions are fashion-centric fullbody pieces!
✧ I’ll create an outfit based on your character and draw em in it.
✧ Single characters start at $40, couples are $60.
✧ Add $5 for complex markings and features per character.
✧ Want it as a digital badge? Add a name for $5!
✧ I am only offering ten (10) slots for these, so act fast!
✧ You may reserve/purchase more than one slot, if you like!

Examples:
Aside from the above, more can be seen in my Weasyl Gallery or by checking my blog’s Polyvore tag.

To view slot availability, check my Trello board!

To claim a slot, send an email to quaggyart AT gmail DOT com with the following information:
Number of characters:
Reference(s):
Describe their personal style: (ex: bookish, practical, outdoorsy)
Commonly worn clothing items: (ex: beanies, dresses, sandals)
Suggested themes: (optional! ex: punk, space, retro, kittens)
Absolutely never wears: (optional! ex: shoes, hats)
Character name(s): (optional! include this if you want a badge version)

To reserve more than one slot, please fill out a new form per slot.

You may be asked for additional information in your confirmation email.

Once you’ve emailed me claiming a slot, I’ll send you a confirmation email containing payment information and instructions. The email reply will be coming from quaggyart AT gmail DOT com, so make sure it doesn’t go to spam! I currently only accept payment via Paypal. Please do not send payment before receiving your confirmation email.
